Talkin' 'Bout Human Nature
    Human nature is the same
     all over the world.
            --Philip Dormer Stanhope,
               Fourth Earl of Chesterfield
                      (1694-1773)

Why can't we slow down just a little?
Why do we have to live so fast these days?
Fast food, fast cars, fast wars, fast sex, fast women,
Fast everything, and none of us can wait...
I want it now RIGHT THIS VERY INSTANT!!!
Why don't you give it to me, baby, fast!
We are in love, you see, and yet so distant,
But it's OK since nothing really lasts...
The older generation used to smoke
Some milder stuff than we all do today,
Who cares for pot or acid?  We have coke!
And if you're lucky, pal, you might get laid...
Buy that CD and play that jungle music,
And don't forget to shake your boobs and butt!
It's all so cool, so hip, so amusing--
Why don't we do it in a parking lot...
But I feel sad and seriously, folks,
I don’t believe we have to live this way,
For life is not some thirty-second joke
Or instant breakfast, or a song that’s played
By some disc jockey, craving for attention,
"No!  No!" I scream "Why don't you stop and think!
A little bit about what you're doing,
A little bit about whom you're screwing,
About your actions, goals and intentions
Before you get that rubber and a drink."
